Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut Impressions - NWR

"How is the 2011 critical darling augmented for the Wii U?
While heavily rumored for months, Square Enix finally announced last week that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is indeed coming to the Wii U later this year. The more surprising news is the affixation of the Directors Cut tag and the addition and reworking of content; this isnt a simple port of a two-year-old game, but a chance for the team to go back and address some issues while also improving the overall experience. I was given the chance to play Human Revolution Directors Cut this past weekend, and can attest to the changes to the core gameplay. Whether or not those justify playing the game on Wii U over cheaper options on other platforms remains to be seen.", writes NintendoWorldReport.

Destrutoid: "It seems the one thing we've really heard the most fuss about Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is the boss battles. Whilst they were a bone of contention in the original versions of the game, this newer version on the Wii U has boss fights that are much more adaptable and -tune with the Deus Ex ethos. That's not the only thing to get fixed up though -- there's a whole host of improvements and tweaks being made to the game."

A port that puts other ports to shame.
When I first caught wind that Square Enix was porting Deus Ex: Human Revolution to the Wii U, I dropped my head in my hands in bewilderment. Why would anyone want to purchase a now two-year-old game for their Nintendo console? However, after getting a chance to check out the Director's Cut for myself, it became readily evident that I was completely wrong.
